Am I crazy, to play around with creating this blog, when in fact I should write a text on Swiss geography for the new website of the Swiss Travel System?
I spent an hour, alone to find a name for this blog, because I wanted to have the right mail address to go with. Not so easy in these days, when everybody else has already plundered half of the dictionary to hide his or her identity behind an original pseudonym. Then I spent hours, to photograph the picture for the banner up above and to work it over in Photoshop. And now I'm sitting here to write my first post, while it's getting dark outside.
No TV, tonight, Mark! - You're going to work till late on what you didn't accomplish this afternoon.
To tell a story or, at least, to share a thought each day with others, and maybe a picture. That's what I had in mind when I got driven away in this little adventure. I am most probably not alone with this motivation for starting a blog. And maybe to give back something to all those other Bloggers, who add warmth and humanity to the net.
Are bloggers crazy? - I don't think so.

- Yes, let's call myself Mark. Me, a man in my sixties, living in Bern, Switzerland. Still working in what I call "Design of Communication", and not just for fun. My mother tongue is German. English is the language I used to speak with my ex-wife, an American. I still read, and sometimes think in English. And I love American authors, like Philip Roth, Truman Capote or Carson McCullers.
